Patti Epler

Patti Epler is an experienced journalist with a diverse background in news editing and management. Since September 2011, Patti has served as the Editor and General Manager at Honolulu Civil Beat, after a previous role as Editor. Prior experience includes being a senior staff writer at Alaska Dispatch, where Patti focused on energy, environment, and politics. Additionally, Patti co-founded The Arizona Guardian as the Senior Political Editor, following a stint as Metro Editor at the East Valley Tribune. Previous editorial roles include positions at Phoenix New Times, Tacoma News Tribune, Anchorage Daily News, Honolulu Magazine, and Anchorage Times, spanning over four decades in the journalism field.
