Amit Karan

Amit Karan has over 20 years of work experience in various roles related to engineering and architecture. Amit is currently serving as the VP of Engineering at Honor Education, Et Al since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at DocuSign for 6 years, starting in 2016 as the Senior Director of Engineering and leading teams responsible for the company's core web experiences, scaling the application and leading the redesign of the technology stack. Before that, they were the Director of Architecture at Mobeam Inc. from 2013 to 2016, where they led the design, development, and operations teams for several server-side systems and applications. From 2011 to 2013, they worked as the Director of Software Architecture at Verious Inc, where they led the architecture and development of web applications. Prior to that, they served as a Team Lead at Apple Inc from 2007 to 2011, providing architectural and technical supervision for HR Systems projects. Amit also worked as an Architect at CashEdge Inc from 2006 to 2007, and as a Principal Applications Engineer at Oracle from 2001 to 2006. Amit started their career as a Software Engineer at NBC Internet in 2000 and as a Senior Systems Analyst at Infosys from 1998 to 2000. Amit Karan holds a strong background in software development and architecture, having led various projects and teams throughout their career.

Amit Karan completed their education from 1993 to 1997 at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, where they obtained a B. Tech degree in Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering. In addition, they obtained a certification in Developing Executive Leadership from the American Management Association in September 2015.
