Krystal Robinson, MPH, CIC has a diverse range of work experience in the field of infection prevention and control. Krystal is currently a Health Equity Committee Member at APIC, where they focus on reducing disparities and advancing health equity through infection prevention strategies. Prior to this, they worked at HonorHealth as an Associate Vice President, overseeing infection prevention and public health operations across multiple hospitals and outpatient facilities. Krystal also served as the Network Director of Infection Prevention and Control at the same organization. Before joining HonorHealth, Krystal held the position of Regional Director of Infection Prevention and Control at Christus Spohn Health System. Krystal started their career as an Infection Control Practitioner at Infection Prevention & Management Associates. Additionally, they worked as a West Region Lead Health and Advanced Health Educator and Curriculum Developer at Houston ISD, and conducted research in Health Disparities Behavioral Science at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center. Overall, Krystal has demonstrated a strong commitment to promoting health equity and implementing effective infection prevention strategies throughout their career.
Krystal Robinson holds a Masters degree in Public Health from A.T. Still University of Health Sciences and a Bachelors degree in Health Science and Sports Medicine from Rice University. Krystal is also certified in Infection Control by the CBIC (Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc.).
