Monika Werthén has a diverse work experience in marketing and leadership roles. Monika is currently serving as the Chief Marketing Officer at Hooked Foods, starting in 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Danone as the Marketing Director Nordics and Innovation Lead for Central Europe and Nordics from 2020 to 2021. From 2018 to 2020, Monika was the Head of Marketing - Nordics at Uber, where they were responsible for customer growth, brand health, performance marketing, and media management. Monika also held several roles at The Absolut Company, including Global Brand Director for Kahlúa and Global Media Marketing Manager for Absolut Vodka.
Monika's earlier experience includes roles at Philips Consumer Lifestyle as the Sr Nordic Marketing Manager and Nordic Marketing Manager for AVM & Accessories, at Unilever Nordic as the Nordic Brand Manager for International Desserts and GB Glace, and at Future Electronics as the Office Manager & Special Group Assistant. Monika began their career as a Consultant Coordinator at Adecco (Retail).
Monika Werthén pursued their education starting in 1999 at Linköping University, where they completed a Master's degree in International Business and German from 1999 to 2005. In 2002, they briefly attended QUT (Queensland University of Technology) for Bachelor studies in Marketing and Business. Additionally, in 2003, Monika enrolled in a program at Universität Heinrich Heine in Düsseldorf, focusing on B2B and B2C Marketing at the Bachelor level.
