David Schumacher

David Schumacher is a seasoned legal professional specializing in health care law. Since January 2017, David has served as a Health Care Partner at Hooper, Lundy & Bookman, PC, focusing on representing health care providers in enforcement actions and internal investigations. Prior to this role, David worked at the U.S. Attorney's Office from February 2009 to January 2017, where responsibilities included serving as Assistant U.S. Attorney and Deputy Chief of the Health Care Fraud Unit. Earlier in David's career, from 2000 to 2009, David was a Litigation Associate at Goodwin Procter LLP. David holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia School of Law, obtained between 1997 and 2000, and a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science from Syracuse University, earned from 1989 to 1993.
