Eric Scalise has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Eric is currently serving as the Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) at Hope For The Heart. Prior to this, they held the position of President at LIV Consulting, LLC. In addition, Eric has worked at The American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) as the Senior Vice President and at The American Association of Christian Counselors as the Senior Vice President for Professional Development. Earlier in their career, Eric was the President of Beacon Counseling & Consulting, P.C. and served as the Department Chair of Counseling Programs and Associate Professor at Regent University. Eric also has experience as the Eastern Regional Director at Rapha Treatment Centers, as a Program Administrator at Eastern State Hospital, as the General Manager at Star Fitness Center, and as the Program Director at Youth Guidance Center, where they worked with troubled and delinquent youth.
Eric Scalise earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology from William & Mary in 1978. Eric then pursued a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Agency Counseling from William & Mary, completing their studies in 1980. Eric furthered their education at William & Mary and obtained an Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling in 1989. In 2001, they enrolled at Regent University and obtained a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies (C.A.G.S) in Organizational Leadership in 2003. Eric continued their studies at Regent University and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Organizational Leadership in 2007.
In addition to their formal education, Eric Scalise has acquired several certifications. In 1986, they became a Marriage, Family & Child Counselor (MFCC) through the California Board of Behavioral Science Examiners. Later, in 1992, they became a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) through the Virginia Board of Counseling. In the same year, they also became a Clinical Member of the American Association of Marriage & Family Therapy (AAMFT). Eric expanded their certifications with a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) credential from the Virginia Board of Counseling in 1997.
Throughout their career, Eric has continued to enhance their expertise by pursuing additional certifications. Eric became a Board Certified Professional Christian Counselor (BCPCC) through the Board of Professional & Pastoral Christian Counselors in 2007. In 2011, they obtained a Board Certified Professional Christian Life Coach (BCPCLC) credential from the Board of Christian Life Coaching. Most recently, in 2021, Eric earned the Certified Master Christian Life Coach (CMCLC) certification from the International Christian Coaching Institute. Eric also holds a certification in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) from the International Critical Incident Stress Management Foundation (ICISF), obtained in 2002.
