Trish Donahue

Trish Donahue is the Vice President of Legal and Policy at HopSkipDrive. Trish has been with the company for 3 years and 6 months, during which time they have also served as the Director of Regulatory Affairs and Risk Management. In their current role, Trish is responsible for driving strategic regulatory and policy initiatives to remove mobility barriers for youth experiencing homelessness, in the foster care system, and with special needs across 9 different states. This includes representing HopSkipDrive in front of government agencies, building and maintaining partnerships with regulatory contacts in each market, and serving as their primary contact. At both the state and federal levels, Trish drafts high-stakes legislation and changes to regulations relating to student transportation, transportation network companies, and employment. Trish also oversees and organizes contract lobbying work and manages regulatory and legal compliance across all existing 13 major markets, including compliance with transportation network company regulations, student transportation regulations, and state corporate requirements. In addition to their work with HopSkipDrive, Trish is also a critical member of the Crisis Response and Safety teams and is responsible for driving strategic safety initiatives.

Trish Donahue has a Master of Laws from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in Child and Family Law, with a focus in Education Law and Policy. Trish also has a Juris Doctorate from University of Denver - Sturm College of Law in Constitutional Rights and Remedies. Trish is certified in Constitutional Rights and Remedies from University of Denver, Sturm College of Law.
