Staci Crane has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Staci started their career as an Information Systems Auditor at the State of Illinois - Office of the Auditor General in 2006 and specialized in auditing financial systems. In 2010, they became a Procurement Compliance Monitor at the Illinois Executive Ethics Commission, where they reviewed procurement processes and ensured compliance with statutory code. Staci then worked as the Chief Internal Auditor at the Illinois State Emergency Management Agency from 2011 to 2012, where they implemented an internal control framework to support performance-based budgeting. Following that, Staci served as the Chief Internal Auditor at the Illinois State Retirement Systems, managing the internal audit function and conducting audits and reviews over investments and compliance engagements. Staci'smost recent role was as AVP Business Process Manager and Program Lead at Horace Mann, where they were responsible for implementing the Guidewire suite in the Cloud and managing the Organizational Change Management framework.
Staci Crane holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from American InterContinental University, which they obtained in 2004. Prior to their postgraduate studies, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from Illinois State University, graduating in 2002. Staci also possesses additional certifications including the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA, acquired in January 2007, and the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) from the IIA-The Institute of Internal Auditors, obtained in January 2018.
