Nikolay "Niko" Akatyev

Niko A has a diverse work experience in various fields, including cyber security, engineering, digital forensics, and event organizing.

They began their career as a Software Developer at Symphony Teleca in 2007. Later, they worked at LG Electronics as a Research Engineer, where they designed and developed mobile applications. They also served as a Senior Research Engineer and Lead Research Engineer, managing teams and developing apps such as QRemote and LG MediaHome.

In 2013, Niko founded Seoul Tech Society, a community for tech enthusiasts, and served as the Founder and Organizer until 2020. During this period, they organized events, facilitated projects, and helped members connect and collaborate.

Niko's cyber security experience includes working as an Independent Researcher, participating in the Global Cybersecurity Camp and being part of the crew at Div0. They also served as a Digital Forensics Mentor in the Best of the Best cyber security program at Korea IT Research Institute, teaching threat intelligence and open source tools.

In 2018, Niko joined Horangi Cyber Security as the VP of Engineering, where they built the engineering team and released the first version of the product. They later took on the role of VP of Internal Security, building internal security and IT teams and obtaining SOC2 Type 2 certification for the company. Currently, they hold the position of VP of Internal Security and IT.

Niko has also been involved in organizing conferences and events. They served as an Organizing Committee Member for the GCC at Division Zero (Div0) and later became the Chief Executive of GCC 2023 Singapore. Additionally, they held roles such as Technical Program Committee Co-Chair and Local and Sponsorship Chair at the International Conference on Digital Forensics and Cyber Crime.

Recently, Niko became an Advisor at PT. Cashtree for Indonesia, providing guidance and expertise.

Niko A has a diverse education history. Niko obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Korea University from 2009 to 2011.
