Bryan Sparling has over 30 years of experience in leadership and management roles, primarily in the military and defense consulting industry. Bryan served in the US Army for over 27 years, with highlights including roles as Director of Information Operations and Sensitive Programs at US European Command, Director of Communications at NATO ISAF Joint Command, and Director of Transformation/Special Assistant to the Commander at US Southern Command. After retiring from the Army, Sparling held senior roles at several private companies, including Senior VP at Vertical Knowledge and Strategic Advisor at US Army Cyber Command. Bryan also worked as an Adjunct Faculty TCP Graduate Instructor at the University of Colorado. Currently, Sparling is Senior Vice President at By Light Professional IT Services, where they use their expertise to advise on public and private sector missions. Bryan is also the Principal at SPARLING ENTERPRISES, L.L.C., which brings leadership and management practices of the US Armed Services to businesses working with the Federal Government.
Bryan Sparling has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Claremont McKenna College, which they earned from 1984-1988. Bryan went on to earn a Master of Science degree in Telecommunications from the University of Colorado Boulder from 1996-1998. In 2000-2002, they attended the US Army School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS) and earned a Master of Military Art and Science degree in Strategic and Operational Planning. Bryan then attended the National Defense University in 2009-2010, where they earned a Master of Arts degree in Strategic Planning. In 2014, they completed the Senior Leaders Seminar at the United States Army War College.
