Stephen Diegelmann

Stephen Diegelmann, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Stephen started their career as an Undergraduate in Chemistry at Hampden-Sydney College, where they conducted research projects on functionalized dendrimers and metal-histidine complexes. Stephen then pursued their Graduate studies at Johns Hopkins University, specializing in the synthesis and characterization of water-soluble self-assembling peptides for the development of biologically active nanowires. Following this, they worked as a Postdoc Polymer Chemist at the Department of Macromolecular Science and Engineering and Department of Chemical Engineering. Stephen then transitioned to industry, joining Afton Chemical as a Sr. R&D Chemist, focusing on detergent development for engine oils before becoming a Gasoline Performance Additives Formulator. Currently, they hold key positions at Horizons Incorporated and Horizons Imaging Systems Group as the Chief Operating Officer.
