Chris Szczeck

Chris Szczeck is an experienced construction professional and engineer with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota. Currently serving as Construction General Manager and Project Manager at Horwitz since April 2019, Chris has a solid background in managing commercial mechanical construction projects ranging from $1 million to $40 million, specifically focusing on HVAC, plumbing, temperature controls, and fire protection. Prior to this role, Chris held various positions at Metropolitan Mechanical Contractors, including Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager, and has been involved with USA Hockey as an official since 1999. Additionally, Chris gained valuable experience as a Measurement and Verification CO-OP at The Weidt Group, where responsibilities included reviewing construction documents for energy efficiency and conducting site visits for operational strategy verification.
