Oliver Tafertshofer

Project Manager Electrical Engineering at Hosokawa Alpine

Oliver Tafertshofer began their work experience in 2003 with an apprenticeship at Hans Schröder Maschinenbau GmbH, where they trained as a mechatronics technician until 2007. Oliver then served in the Bundeswehr as an Obergefreiter for their Grundwehrdienst from 2007 to 2008. From 2008 to 2013, Tafertshofer worked as a maintenance employee at Süddeutsche Societäts-Druckerei GmbH, where they were responsible for the scheduled maintenance and repair of rotating machines. Oliver also acted as a representative for their supervisor during their absence.

In 2014, Tafertshofer completed an internship at Krauss Maffei Automation GmbH. Oliver then joined IDEAL Maschinenbau GmbH in 2015 as an SPS programmer, where their role included programming special machines and automation solutions, as well as commissioning them at customer sites. Oliver also contributed to the design and planning of control solutions until September 2020.

Currently, Tafertshofer is working at Hosokawa Alpine Aktiengesellschaft as a Project Manager in Electrical Engineering. In this role, they are responsible for creating SPS programs using Step7 and TIA, as well as developing process visualizations in WinCC and WinCC OA for blown film plants. Oliver also conducts software commissioning worldwide at customer sites and provides support to eSupport for hardware and software issues.

Oliver Tafertshofer completed their education at Technikerschule München from 2013 to 2015, where they earned a degree in Mechatronik, Robotik und Automatisierungstechnik. Additionally, in January 2015, they obtained a certification in Grundlagen der Roboterprogrammierung from KUKA.
