Melanie House

Melanie House is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in nonprofit development and veteran support. Currently serving as an Author at A Veteran’s Story since July 2022, Melanie has also been the Development Coordinator and Grant Writer at Hospice Of The Valleys since June 2019. Previously, Melanie held the position of Outreach Coordinator at Veterans Resource Center, where communication with veterans was streamlined, focusing on enhancing their experiences and connecting them with essential resources. Additional experience includes a Veteran Support Intern role at Ventura County Military Collaborative and Development Coordinator at The Nature Conservancy. Educational credentials include a Post-Baccalaureate in Social Sciences from California State University Channel Islands and a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from California State University, Northridge. Melanie also holds an Associate's Degree in Communication from Moorpark College.
