José Máximo Barros

José Máximo Barros is a medical professional with extensive experience in oncology and radiotherapy. Currently serving as an #ESOambassador with the European School of Oncology since January 2023 and holding the position of Vicepresidente at the Sociedad Argentina de Terapia Radiante Oncologica since February 2024, Barros combines leadership roles with clinical practice. Barros has been a Médico at Hospital Universitario Austral since February 2009 and the Jefe Servicio Oncología Clínica at Hospital Dr. Raul F. Larcade since January 2016. Additional experience includes serving as MD at Vidt Oncología Radiante since June 2005 and previously as Medico de planta at Hospital Interzonal General de Agudos Prof Dr Luis Guemes until August 2018. Educational credentials include a degree in Radioterapia from the University of Buenos Aires and a specialization in Oncología Clínica from Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina, along with advanced studies in radiocirugía and a leadership course at SATRO.
