Janice Demooy

Janice deMooy is an accomplished professional with diverse experience spanning across various fields. Since May 2017, Janice has been the Owner of While You Are Away - Home & Pet Care Services. Concurrently, Janice has served as the Hostel Manager for Hostelling International USA since May 2008, managing multiple hostels with a passion for the hospitality industry. As a self-employed spiritual and intuitive teacher, Janice has been a Reiki Master Teacher since completing teacher training in 2002, and combines sensitivity and intuitive insight into practice. Prior experience includes work as a Massage Therapist from October 2001 to April 2013, providing innovative care approaches, and teaching Swedish massage at Delaware Learning Institute from 2000 to 2002. Janice also held the position of Vice President at Gumpert Printing Co. from 1997 to 2000 after inheriting the business. Academic credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Maryland and graduate work in Psychology from Washington College.
