Mick O.

Mick O. has extensive experience in IT security management and advisory roles. Mick is currently working as the Head of IT Security at Hostelworld Group since 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Information Technology Security Manager at Bord na Móna from 2019 to 2022. Mick also served as the Security & Risk Adviser at HEAnet from 2018 to 2019, and as a Security Adviser at S3 Group from 2012 to 2018.

Mick O. holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Galway, which they obtained from 1997 to 2022. Mick also completed a Certificate in IP Networking from the Institute of Technology, Carlow in 2011-2012. In 2023-2025, they pursued a Master's degree in Cybersecurity at the National College of Ireland.
