Mónica Ávila is currently serving as a Community Programs Intern at Community Health Partnership, focusing on the Every Woman Counts program to enhance healthcare access for breast and cervical cancer screening and diagnosis. Mónica's experience includes roles as a Substitute Teacher at Scoot Education, Front Desk & Sales at Hot 8 Yoga, and a Peer Health Educator at San Jose State University, where advocacy in healthy sexuality was central. Mónica also contributed to the AACI x Youth Technology Incubator Art N' Flow program, creating a PSA campaign for suicide prevention, and completed an internship at Breathe California of the Bay Area. Prior experience includes working as a Behavioral Health Technician and Behavioral Skills Therapist. Mónica holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and a minor in Portuguese Language and Literature from San Jose State University and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health.
