James Thornett has a diverse work experience spanning 25 years. Most recently, they served as the Executive Director of Experience Design at House 337. Prior to that, they founded and directed The Digital Discovery Group. James also held leadership roles such as Head of Product, Design and Delivery at Rebellion Defense, Director of Product and Technology Implementation at Palladium Digital, and VP of Product Development at Ascential. In addition, they worked as the Director of Customer Experience at CPA Global and as a Principal Product Strategist and Head of Digital Customer Experience at Tesco PLC. Before that, they had a significant tenure at the Government Digital Service, where they served as the Director of GOV.UK and Head of Product Management. James started their career at the BBC, where they held various roles, including Head of Product and Assistant Editor. James has extensive experience in product development, customer experience, and digital strategy.
James Thornett received their education from the University of Birmingham, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science. James attended the university from 1995 to 1998 and graduated with honors, achieving a 2:1 classification for their degree. Additionally, James Thornett obtained certifications outside of their formal education. In 2009, they became a Certified Scrum Master through the Scrum Alliance, Inc. Furthermore, in June 2022, they acquired the UEFA C Licence in Football Coaching from UEFA.
