Emily Nelson

Emily Nelson currently serves as the Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer at The Housing Authority of the Birmingham District since July 2023. Prior to this role, Emily held positions as Executive Assistant at the Alabama Symphony Orchestra from November 2021 to July 2023 and as Office Manager at the Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra from May 2018 to November 2021. Earlier in Emily's career, experience included working as an Accounting Specialist at Tuscaloosa News from February 2016 to May 2018 and as a Rivermarket Intern and Amphitheater Intern with the City of Tuscaloosa in 2015 and 2014, respectively. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Administration from The University of Alabama and early studies at Shelton State Community College.
