Rodney Leggett is a legal professional with extensive experience in litigation and legal support roles. Currently serving as Director of Litigation and Supervising Attorney at the Housing Rights Center since November 2020, Rodney has also held the position of Staff Attorney within the same organization. Prior to this, Rodney worked as a Judicial Law Clerk at U.S. District Courts from November 2019 to October 2020 and was a Research Assistant to Dean L. Song Richardson at the University of California, Irvine School of Law from September 2018 to May 2019. Additional experience includes summer associate work at Relman Colfax PLLC and legal internships with the ACLU of San Diego & Imperial Counties and the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program. Earlier career roles include serving as a Fair Housing/Housing Placement Specialist with AmeriCorps and various technical positions at Summit Consulting, LLC, and Lockheed Martin. Rodney Leggett earned a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of California, Irvine School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Howard University.
