Marleen Korten

Marleen Korten has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of HR. Marleen has held various roles in different companies over the years.

Marleen started their career at Anton van Baalen Plant | Bloem | Decor as a Sales Support Administrator, where they handled administrative tasks and assisted the sales team. Marleen then transitioned into the role of HR Assistant, where they established the HR department and implemented HR processes.

Marleen later became an HR Advisor at the same company, taking on additional responsibilities such as advising the management team, employer branding, and setting up an HR department in Belgium.

Afterward, Marleen joined SKS Professionals BV as a Human Resource Professional, focusing on administrative HR processes in the IT detachment industry.

Marleen then moved on to Exide Technologies, where they served as an HR Advisor for four locations in the Benelux region, managing HR-related tasks for approximately 130 employees. Marleen later became an HR Supervisor Benelux, with expanded responsibilities that included managing an administrative colleague in Belgium, studying Belgian labor laws, and implementing company procedures.

Marleen's dedication and proven improvements led to their promotion as HR Manager Benelux, where they optimized their local role and became a full member of the management team, working under the leadership of the European HR Director.

In 2020, Marleen co-founded and worked as a Specialist HR & Payroll at Zorgvrij HR, an organization that provided outsourced HR services and specialized advice to small-sized companies.

Currently, Marleen holds the position of Head of People Operations at HousingAnywhere, and starting from 2023, they will take on the role of Director of HR and Recruitment.

Marleen Korten's education history includes attending various institutions over the years. From 1989 to 1997, they attended Cornelis Haak School, although no specific degree or field of study is provided for this period.
