Daniel Palomo, MBA, MSc has extensive experience in the field of business development and international sales and marketing. Daniel has worked for various organizations, including the Houston First Corporation, ICCA, BestCities Global Alliance, United States-Mexico Chamber of Commerce, Texas Medical Center, Visit Houston, State of Mexico Office for North America, Mexico Tourism Board, and Partido Revolucionario Institucional. Throughout their career, Daniel has held leadership positions, such as Director of Global Sales, Immediate past ICCA 1st Vice President, Chair of ICCA Congress 2019 Houston Local Host Committee, and Immediate past Chair of Strategic Business Development at BestCities Global Alliance. Daniel has successfully implemented sales and marketing strategies, created global partnerships, and led international events.
Daniel Palomo, MBA, MSc., began their education at Paramus Catholic High School in 1985, participating in an exchange program for their sophomore year. Daniel then attended Tecnológico de Monterrey from 1986 to 1989, where they obtained their high school diploma. Daniel continued their studies at Tecnológico de Monterrey, earning a B.Sc. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from 1989 to 1994. In 1994, Daniel enrolled at Esade and completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Strategic Planning/Marketing from 1994 to 1996. Daniel also participated in a second-year MBA exchange program at KU Leuven in 1996, studying International Business. From 1996 to 1998, Daniel pursued a Ph.D. in Management Sciences (c) with a specialization in Global Marketing at Esade. During this time, they also studied the Politics of Development in Latin America, earning an MSc. degree from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 1997 to 1998. Finally, from 1998 to 2000, Daniel returned to LSE to pursue a Ph.D. in Government (c) with a focus on Business-Government Relations.
