Deanna Nelson

Deanna Nelson is a Management Analyst IV at the Houston Health Department since September 2022, following the role of Vaccine Demand Strategist at the CDC Foundation from November 2021 to September 2022. Previously, Deanna served as a Health Literacy Communication Intern at Health Literacy Media, where responsibilities included coding patient storytelling interviews, designing data visuals, and proofreading health insurance video transcripts. Deanna has experience as a Youth Communication Specialist with AmeriCorps VISTA, focusing on public health initiatives. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Health Communication from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts in Medical Anthropology and Psychology from Case Western Reserve University.
