Jay Shoji Mason

Jay Shoji Mason is a seasoned architectural professional with extensive experience in project management and architectural design across various sectors, including commercial, education, and hospitality. Currently serving as Director and Construction Manager at the Houston Housing Authority since January 2021, Mason previously held positions at Gensler as an Associate and Project Architect from 2014 to 2021, and at Texas Children's Hospital as Facilities Project Manager from 2011 to 2013. Earlier experience includes significant roles at Studio Red Architects and Ronald Schmidt & Associates, with a focus on projects ranging from 15,000 to 200,000 square feet. Mason holds a Master’s degree in Infrastructure Planning and a Master of Architecture from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the University of Technology, Jamaica.
