Jeff Schmitz

Jeff Schmitz is entering his 19th season with the Houston Texans in 2020 and currently serves as vice president and chief information officer.

Schmitz, who joined McNair Interests in March 1997, held positions in the treasury and accounting departments before moving into the IT department as manager of information technology in 2001.

Schmitz is responsible for leading all facets of technology for the Houston Texans, including infrastructure, information systems, development, information security and support. During his tenure, Schmitz has led teams responsible for stadium infrastructure design, data center design, voice and data service, unified communication, information security, compliance and software implementations.

Schmitz earned a bachelor's degree in business administration in accounting from Pittsburg State University in Kansas. He lives in Missouri City with his wife, Leslie, and their daughters, Courtney and Hannah.
