Tyler Roehl

Assistant Athletic Trainer / Physical Therapist / Return To Football at Houston Texans

Tyler Roehl ATC, DPT, SCS, CSCS currently serves as the Assistant Athletic Trainer and Physical Therapist for the Houston Texans since February 2023, focusing on return-to-football protocols. Prior experience includes a seasonal role with the Denver Broncos Football Club and a Sports Physical Therapy Residency at Houston Methodist. Tyler has held internships with the Houston Texans, Exos, and Champion Sports Medicine, as well as positions as an Athletic Trainer with UW Health and University Health Services at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In addition to clinical roles, Tyler has a strong research background, having worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at UW-Madison, where investigations into ACLR recovery were conducted, resulting in published abstracts and ongoing manuscript development. Tyler holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from James Madison University.
