Violeta Álvarez

Violeta Álvarez is a seasoned photographer and founder of Violeta Alvarez Photography, established in 2012, specializing in music, portraiture, commercial, and documentary photography. Álvarez's extensive experience includes freelance photography for Live Nation Entertainment at Setlist.fm and a dedicated role as house photographer for ROCO and several other music venues such as NRG Stadium and Smart Financial Centre. Additional contributions as a freelance photographer for publications like Houston Press and Houston Business Journal highlight a strong proficiency in capturing diverse subjects and events. Álvarez has also participated in a photography residency at Mueso Guadalupe Aztlan, focusing on documenting museum artifacts. Education includes a BFA in Photography from Parsons School of Design and a BFA in Media Arts from Pratt Institute.
