Eric Skelly

Eric Skelly is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in the arts sector. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Communications for the Houston Symphony since August 2018, Eric has previously worked as a freelance writer, reviewing classical music and opera for the Houston Chronicle and covering opera in Texas for Arts + Culture Magazine. Eric's leadership roles include serving as the Executive Director of the River Oaks Chamber Orchestra from February 2015 to October 2016, and as Senior Underwriting Account Executive at Houston Public Media from 1999 to 2015. Eric's earlier positions include Public Relations Manager at the Society for the Performing Arts and The Cleveland Orchestra, as well as Director of Public Relations at Houston Grand Opera. Eric holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Cincinnati.
