Dau Ayub has a diverse work experience spanning over 18 years. They began their career as a Lead Trainer and Senior Language Specialist at Language Line Services in 2002. They worked in this role for four years before transitioning to become the Director of Training at FUJITSU Costa Rica in 2006. After a year and a half, they joined HEWLETT PACKARD COMPANY as the Global Service Center Training Manager for the Enterprise Business Support division in 2007.
In 2008, Dau Ayub joined the U.S. Department of State as a Diplomatic Security Foreign Service Special Agent. During their four-year tenure, they handled responsibilities such as evaluating risks, implementing security measures, and investigating breaches of federal law and misconduct.
In 2012, Dau Ayub joined Houston's First Baptist Church, where they held multiple roles. They served as the Managing Director of Pastoral Care, overseeing numerous ministries and events for the congregation and the wider community. Later, they took on the role of Director of Pastoral Care, managing a team of ministry associates, volunteers, and reaching out to high-profile members of the Houston and HFBC community. As the Managing Director of Programs and Operations, Dau spearheaded significant growth and implemented security policies to safeguard against potential breaches.

Dau Ayub is currently a Master of Divinity (MDiv) student at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management from the Universidad Latina de Costa Rica. In 1998-1999, they also completed a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a focus on Business Administration and Management, General, at the same institution. Ayub holds multiple certifications, including being a Licensed and Ordained Baptist Pastor from the Southern Baptist Convention, and being certified in "The Reid Technique of Interviewing and Interrogation" by Diplomatic Security Training/John E. Reid and Associates. Dau has also completed various training courses, such as the Basic Firearms Field Officer Course and the Basic Special Agent Course through the Diplomatic Security Service, and the Criminal Investigation Training Program through the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers. Additionally, Ayub is a Mental Health Coach certified by the American Association of Christian Counselors, and a Six Sigma Black Belt certified by SSGI.
