Joana Cunha

Joana Cunha has a diverse and extensive work experience. Joana began their career at Centro Tecnologico Calcado as a Laboratory Analyst in February 2002. In October 2002, they joined Hovione FarmaCiencia/FarmaScience as an ICEP trainee until November 2003. Joana then returned to Centro Tecnologico Calcado as a Laboratory Analyst until October 2002.

In 2004, Joana joined Hovione PharmaScience as a Quality Control Technician. Joana then became the Head of the Chromatography Section from February 2005 to October 2005. From October 2005 to April 2007, they served as the Head of the Analysis Department.

In 2008, Joana transitioned to Hovione and worked as a Project Manager until September 2013. Joana was then promoted to Senior Project Manager until October 2014. From November 2014 to March 2017, they served as the Regional Sales Manager for Europe, Israel, and Turkey. Following that, they took on the role of Head of Sales and Business Development for Europe and Latin America until November 2020. Currently, Joana holds the position of Director of Products Sales and Business Development for Europe at Hovione, starting in December 2020.

Overall, Joana has progressively advanced throughout their career, assuming key roles in various departments within the Hovione organization.

Joana Cunha holds a Master of Science degree in Chemistry from Faculdade Ciencias Universidade Porto, which was completed from 1996 to 2001. Joana also attended Universidade Católica Portuguesa from 2009 to 2010, where they completed an Advanced Program in Project Management and Evaluation.
