Paul Caccamo

Paul Caccamo, PhD, is currently a Laboratory Manager and Researcher in John McCutcheon's lab at the Arizona State University Biodesign Center for Mechanisms of Evolution and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, a position held since February 2022. Previously, Caccamo worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the ASU Biodesign Institute from August 2020 to February 2022 and completed a Ph.D. in Microbiology at Indiana University Bloomington from August 2012 to June 2020, focusing on the evolution of organismal diversity and bacterial morphology. Prior experience includes serving as an Associate Scientist at Emergent BioSolutions from June 2007 to June 2012, where responsibilities included co-authoring technical submissions to the FDA and providing expertise in statistics and data analysis. Caccamo holds a Master's degree in Molecular Biology from Western Michigan University and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Aquinas College.
