Rashad Young is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in public administration and strategic leadership. Currently serving as the Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer at Howard University since September 2020, Rashad previously held the position of City Administrator for the DC Government from January 2015 to September 2020, where management of nearly 35,000 employees and a $12.7 billion budget was overseen on behalf of the Mayor. Prior roles include City Manager for the City of Alexandria, Virginia (December 2011 - December 2014), City Manager for the City of Greensboro (November 2009 - December 2011), and City Manager for the City of Dayton (April 2005 - September 2008). Rashad holds an M.B.A. from the University of Dayton and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management from the same institution.
