Lode De Geyter

Lode De Geyter is an experienced manager in the higher education industry, currently serving as Chairman of the Board of Directors at HOWEST University of Applied Sciences since January 2024 and as a strategic advisor since October 2023. From September 1982 to October 2023, Lode held the role of Rector at HOWEST University of Applied Sciences and has also served as Professor and Dean of the Engineers Department, Deputy Head, and Academic Lecturer at the Provincial University College Kortrijk. Lode’s expertise encompasses innovation and entrepreneurship, change leadership, inspirational leadership, and coaching. Lode earned a Master of Electrical Engineering with greatest distinction from Vrije Universiteit Brussel between 1985 and 1988 and completed earlier education at HOWEST Hogeschool West-Vlaanderen from 1977 to 1981.
