Yee Chung Michael Yu has extensive work experience in finance and auditing. Yee Chung Michael has held various leadership positions, including Director of Finance at HoYoverse. Prior to that, they were the Head of Finance for Asia Pacific & EMEA at 驍訊, where they led a finance team and contributed to the company's growth through strategic planning and local financial matters. Yee Chung Michael also worked as a Senior Audit Manager at HNA Group (International) Company Limited, leading post-investment management audits and providing valuable insights to the board of directors. Yee Chung Michael has also held finance management roles at Hutchison Ports and KPMG in China and Singapore. At KPMG, they managed multiple engagement teams and conducted audits for clients in various industries, demonstrating their expertise in financial reporting standards and providing recommendations to resolve significant audit issues. Yee Chung Michael has demonstrated leadership and strong communication skills throughout their career.

Yee Chung Michael Yu studied Psychology at The University of Hong Kong from 2003 to 2006, earning a Bachelor of Social Science degree. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation from the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants in 2012. In 2018, they also became a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA. Furthermore, they obtained the Certified Public Accountant certification from CPA Australia in 2019 and is expected to obtain the CPA designation from ICAEW in 2022.
