Phillip Zima

Phillip Zima has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Phillip began their career at the City of Onawa in 2010, working in the Street Department for over a year. In 2011, they transitioned to Cambus at The University of Iowa, where they served as a Transit Coach Operator until 2014. During this time, they also worked as a Geological Technician at the Iowa Geological & Water Survey.

In 2014, Zima joined Herzog Technologies, Inc. as a Senior GIS Technician and worked there until 2021. Phillip then moved to HR Green, Inc. and held the position of Outside Plant Designer II for over a year. Currently, they are working as a Project Designer at the same company.

Throughout their career, Zima has gained experience in areas such as project design, GIS technology, transit operations, and geological work.

Phillip Zima completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Geography with a focus on Geographic Information Science Track from The University of Iowa. Phillip pursued this degree from 2010 to 2014. In addition to their formal education, Phillip obtained the Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration in March 2022.
