Project Director (head Of Delivery) - Phase 2a at HS2

Nick Hilton CEng, FIMechE, CHPP, MAPM is an experienced engineer with a diverse background in project and program management. Nick currently holds the role of Project Director (Head of Delivery) - Phase 2a at High Speed Two (HS2) Ltd, where they oversee pre-construction activities for a multi billion pound scheme. Throughout their career, they have successfully managed various railway projects and initiatives, including the Hitchin Grade Separation and Holgate 4th Line projects. Prior to HS2, Hilton worked at Network Rail, where they held positions such as Programme Manager, Senior Project Manager, Project Manager, Area Asset Manager, and Maintenance Delivery Manager. Nick also served as a Senior Project Manager at Dalkia Technical & Energy Services, overseeing capital utility projects for industrial clients. Hilton began their career at National Power, where they worked as a Project Services Manager and Project and Maintenance Engineer, focusing on plant efficiency and reliability improvement projects. With their extensive experience and qualifications, Hilton is well-equipped to deliver successful projects and engage with stakeholders at all levels.

Nick Hilton CEng, FIMechE, CHPP, MAPM earned their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bath between 1985 and 1988. Nick later pursued a Higher National Certificate in Business and Finance at Basildon College of Higher Education from 1991 to 1993. In 2006 and 2007, they attended the University of Warwick - WMG for a post-graduate program in Business Leaders.
