Ruvimal Senanayake

Ruvimal Senanayake has a range of work experience in the field of cybersecurity and technical support. The most recent position was as a SOC Chapter Lead at DELTASPIKE since July 2022. Before that, they worked as a Tech Lead Security at hSenid Mobile Solutions (Pvt) Ltd starting in December 2021. At DELTASPIKE, Ruvimal held multiple roles, including Research Analyst - CyberSecurity from May 2020 to November 2021, and Research Assistant from April 2020 to May 2021. In these roles, they were involved in SOC supervision, L3 analysis, and SIEM platform installation. Prior to DELTASPIKE, Ruvimal worked at South Asian Technologies (Pvt) Ltd as a Senior Technical Support Engineer from April 2019 to March 2020, and as a Technical Support Engineer from November 2017 to April 2019. Their earliest work experience was as a Trainee Network Engineer at N-Able Private Limited from August 2016 to April 2017, where they worked on ISP projects, switch and router installations, and troubleshooting.

Ruvimal Senanayake's education history includes a Master's degree in Cybersecurity and Forensics from the University of Westminster, obtained in 2023. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science at University College Dublin from 2014 to 2018. Ruvimal also holds a Higher Diploma in Computer Based Information System from the National Institute of Business Management, earned in 2016, as well as a Diploma in Computer System Design (2015) and a Certificate in Computer Science (2014) from the same institute. In terms of additional certifications, Ruvimal has obtained various credentials, including Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), Palo Alto Networks certifications such as Certified Security Automation Engineer and Certified Detection and Remediation Analyst, Red Hat certifications as a Certified Engineer and System Administrator, and numerous others in cybersecurity and related fields.
