Jiawei Qian

Jiawei Qian is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in quantitative trading and market making. Currently serving as the Head of FICC Quant Trading at HuaTai Securities Co., Ltd. since May 2020, Jiawei previously co-founded and worked as a Quant Trader at Beijing HQML Tech from May 2017 to May 2020. Prior roles include serving as a Quant Trader at Ping An Securities Company, Ltd. and as a Quant Strategist at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, focusing on fixed-income, derivatives, and electronic trading. Jiawei holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Operations Research with a minor in Computer Science from Cornell University and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Mathematical Optimization from the University of Waterloo.
