John McGowan

John McGowan has extensive work experience in the technology and accounting industries. John is currently the Founder and CEO of HubSync, a Tax & Accounting Platform. Prior to this, they founded their own company, McGowan Partners LLC.

Before starting their own ventures, John held senior positions at Deloitte and KPMG. At Deloitte, they served as the Partner and Tax Technology Leader, overseeing the development of sophisticated tax applications and platforms for internal use and clients. John also managed a team of technologists and collaborated with the Innovation function to introduce new solutions incorporating technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, RPA, and Big Data.

At KPMG, John served as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the Global and US Tax division. In this role, they had broad leadership responsibilities and managed a large technology division with over 200 employees. John was responsible for technology strategy, innovation, technology investment, and governance processes.

Overall, John has a strong background in technology, accounting, and leadership, with a focus on leveraging technology to drive digital transformation in the tax and accounting industry.

John McGowan attended the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School from 1988 to 1993, where they obtained a Masters degree in Accounting.
