Thomas Karanikolas

Thomas Karanikolas CPA, CA possesses extensive experience in finance and accounting, currently serving as Vice President Finance at Hudbay Minerals Inc. since September 2013, where roles have included Executive Director of Internal Audit & Compliance and Corporate Controller. Karanikolas has also contributed as a Session Leader at CPA Ontario since September 2016 and held senior financial reporting positions at IAMGOLD Corporation from 2008 to 2013, focusing on external reporting, technical accounting, and compliance. Prior to IAMGOLD, Karanikolas served as a Seminar Leader at ICAO and as a Manager in Assurance Services at Deloitte Canada. Karanikolas holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting & Finance from Schulich School of Business, York University, completed in 2003.
