Babak Moussakhani

Babak Moussakhani is an experienced professional in the fields of image processing and signal processing, currently serving as Technical Team Manager and Senior Image Processing Engineer at Huddly since June 2021. Previously, Babak held positions as Signal Processing R&D Engineer at Alcatel Submarine Networks Marine, and Computer Vision Lead at Pixotope, where efforts were focused on enhancing Augmented Reality for television. A foundational role at Seiko Epson Corporation involved R&D related to locating and tracking human fingers. Babak's academic background includes a PhD in Telecommunications from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, along with research in sensor networks that concentrated on tracking capsule endoscopes. Additional research experience includes work at the Iran Telecommunication Research Center, focusing on OFDM modem design and the effects of RF signals on the human body. Babak’s educational credentials also feature a Master of Science in Telecommunication Systems from Amirkabir University of Technology, as well as a visiting PhD stint at Texas A&M University in signal processing.
