Michael Kuo has an extensive work history in the technology industry. Michael began their career in 1998 as a Sales Engineer at VIA Technologies, Inc. Following that, they were a Project Leader at United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) from 1998 to 2002. In 2002, they became an AVP at AsiaTech Ventures, where they were involved in private equity and equity-related investments for Information Technology companies in the Greater China region. From 2006 to 2010, they were a Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Always Positive Venture Partners, and then Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Prosperity Group from 2010 to 2012. In 2012, they Co-Founded and became CEO of NCTU Angel Club, and then Co-Founded and became CEO of HuKuiBio Technology Corporation in 2013. Currently, they are Co-Founder and CEO of HKBio since 2020.
Michael Kuo received a BS in Electrical Control Engineering from National Chiao Tung University between 1987 and 1991. Michael then went on to receive an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, with a focus in Venture Capital, Private Equity, and Entrepreneurship. Michael also holds an MS in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University, as well as a Certificate in Electrical Engineering from National Tsing Hua University.
