Cindy Yang Cao Ph D

Cindy (Yang) Cao, Ph.D, has extensive experience in regulatory affairs and drug development. Cindy (Yang) is currently the Chief Regulatory Officer at Humacyte, where they head regulatory filings and interactions with global health authorities and is a member of the Executive Team. Previously, they worked as the VP and Head of Regulatory Affairs at Nutrinia and Ascentage Pharma, and as the Executive Director and Head of Regulatory Affairs at Sandoz Inc, a Novartis Company. Cindy (Yang) has also held various roles at leading pharmaceutical companies such as Bristol-Myers Squibb, Novo Nordisk A/S, and Sanofi. Cindy (Yang)'sresponsibilities have included filing IND, BLA/NDA, and 510K, liaising with FDA and other regulatory agencies, and leading regulatory affairs projects for diabetes and hemostasis drug products, devices, and combination products. Cindy (Yang) started their career as an Assistant Professor at the University of Utah.

Cindy (Yang) Cao, Ph.D received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from Fudan University. Later, they pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from The University of New Mexico. Cindy (Yang) then become a Post Doctoral Fellow at the University of Utah, specializing in Oncology, Immunology, and Inflammation.
