Juan Wang has worked in various research roles in the field of biomaterials, starting in 2013 as a Research Scholar at the National Science Foundation Engineering Research Center. From 2015 to 2016, Juan worked as an Associate Research Scientist at Southwest Jiaotong University before moving to Yale University where they served as a Postdoctoral Associate/Fellow from 2016 to 2020. From 2020 to 2021, Juan held a position as an Associate Research Scientist at the Yale University School of Medicine before joining Humacyte as a Senior Scientist in September 2021.
Juan Wang earned a Bachelor's degree in Material Physics from Tainjin Jobs in 2010. Juan then pursued a Ph.D in Material Science with a focus on Biomaterials at Southwest Jiaotong University from 2010 to 2015. During their Ph.D program, Juan was an Exchange Ph.D. student at the National Science Foundation Engineering Research Center for Revolutionizing Metallic Biomaterials from 2012-2014. From 2016 to 2020, Juan completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine specializing in Tissue Engineering. In 2022, Juan began external education at Harvard Medical School, with a focus on Immunology.
