Pamela Forero Lozano

Pamela Forero Lozano has work experience with several companies. Pamela started working at the University of Otago as a Visiting Researcher in July 2017 where they performed various tasks including the purchase of a 3D Bioprinter for the lab, performing literature reviews on keratin protein and conducting cell culture. Later in May 2019, they joined United Therapeutics Corporation as a Regenerative Medicine Intern where they developed and analyzed data for testing protocols to assess native and decellularized porcine pulmonary arteries. Pamela also evaluated scaffold integrity by analyzing tissue mechanical properties. In August 2018, they started their Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering at Duke University, finishing it in December 2019. Subsequently, they got their first job as a Jr. Systems Test Engineer at FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc. in April 2020, which ended in September of the same year. Pamela'slatest role, since September 2020, is with Humacyte as a Process Development Engineer II Biomaterials.

Pamela Forero Lozano earned their Bachelor's Degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Florida Institute of Technology, where they studied from 2013 to 2017. In 2018, they pursued their Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Duke University, which they completed in 2019. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Nanotechnology: A Maker's Course from Coursera in June 2020.
