Tala Semaan

Tala Semaan is an emerging professional with significant experience in human rights and transitional justice. Notable roles include Program Intern at the International Center for Transitional Justice and Assistant at the Institute for the Study of Human Rights at Columbia University. Tala's internship experience is complemented by positions at organizations such as The Cohen Group, SAPAR Contemporary, the International Rescue Committee, and PEN America, where contributions focused on research and program development. Currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Middle Eastern, South Asian, and African Studies at Columbia University, Tala also holds dual Bachelor's degrees in Human Rights and History from Barnard College and Columbia University. Academic foundations were laid at the American School of Dubai, culminating in a High School Diploma.
