Barath Ponnusamy

Barath Ponnusamy is an experienced professional in mechanical execution and maintenance management, currently serving as Assistant Manager at Hume Cement Industries Berhad since December 2022. Previously, Barath held the positions of Assistant Maintenance Manager and Senior Mechanical Engineer at Hume Cemboard Industries, where responsibilities included leading maintenance teams, planning routine maintenance activities, and enhancing inspection and preventive maintenance strategies. Earlier experience includes serving as a Maintenance Engineer at LafargeHolcim, where Barath oversaw preventive maintenance and led significant reliability improvement projects, and further roles at Toyo Tyre Malaysia and Silverstone Berhad. Barath holds a Master of Science in Asset Management and Maintenance from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Universiti Malaysia Pahang, complemented by a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution.
