Winnie Mapenzi joined the HLS team as Learning Success Manager in September 2022. In her current role, she acts as a point of expertise and advice on key areas of learning and development, delivering training and other learning interventions, helping to solve issues and challenges, and fostering a community of peer sharing and learning.
She has extensive experience managing and coordinating development and humanitarian programmes, straddling various thematic areas including gender, child protection, MEAL, Food Security and Livelihoods, Capacity Strengthening to mention but a few. She has worked for RedR UK as Programme Coordinator, Sub Sahara Africa where she focused on client relations, learning needs assessments and facilitating training delivery. She also worked as MEAL Analyst (and Humanitarian Trainer) for the Humanitarian Leadership Academy under Save the Children, East and Southern Africa, where she supported Country Offices and partners to identify areas of capacity strengthening through LNAs, support delivery of appropriate interventions and conduct evaluations to determine impact.
She holds a degree in Sociology from Moi University, Kenya.
