Gideon Jacobs

Gideon Jacobs has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Gideon started their career at Sasol Solvents in 2009 as a Production Manager, where they worked until 2012. Gideon then joined Sasol Secunda Chemical Operations as a Senior Manager of Production - Safol and Octene Train 3 from 2012 to 2016. Gideon then moved on to Partners in Performance, where they held roles such as Manager and Associate Principal, overseeing business improvement initiatives and managing a team of consultants. Gideon worked at Partners in Performance from 2016 to 2021. Currently, Gideon is employed at Hungry Lion as the Head of Productivity, a position they have held since September 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Business Development from April 2021 to August 2022.

Gideon Jacobs pursued their education at different institutions and studied diverse subjects. Gideon began their academic journey in 2001 at Stellenbosch University, earning a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Chemistry in 2004. After a gap, in 2009, they attended the University of Cape Town, where they completed an MBA with a specialization in Finance in 2010. Seeking further knowledge in Finance, Gideon enrolled at the CFA Institute in 2014 and obtained the CFA certification that same year.
